From Gunnison to Crested Butte there are countless dining options, but for now, we’re going to focus on cozy-romantic, if you haven’t started planning your next date night, here’s your reminder! Whether you’re visiting or are new to town (welcome!) here are a few establishments that should be on your list to try out this Winter.

We’ll start with a classic, Garlic Mike’s. This cozy riverside Italian eatery is an absolute must when you’re in Gunnison. Located just a couple miles North of downtown, Garlic Mike’s typically opens at 5 pm each evening for dinner, but be sure to have a reservation, tables fill up quickly. Once you're cozied up in the restaurant, ask for the fried green tomatoes as your appetizer, thank me later! 

Another gem in Gunnison is Blackstock Bistro, located half a block from the intersection of Main Street & Highway 50. Blackstock is easily walkable from anywhere in downtown Gunnison. Featuring small shareable plates plus entrees, Blackstock’s environment is warm and welcoming, perfect for a romantic evening or celebrating a special occasion. With nightly dinner specials, happy hour, crafty cocktails and fabulous food, you’re sure to visit again! Make sure you try the Bistro Fries, so good you’ll want to order more. 

Closer to the North end of the valley, Soupcon, an intimate French American restaurant situated in a rustic cabin on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte, this one has cozy written all over it! Soupcon has one nightly seating per evening that features a 4 course, sure to please your palate. Reservations book out months in advance as seating is limited, so make sure you either call ahead or check open table for availability. 

You can’t go wrong with choosing a steakhouse for your next date night, Elk Ave Prime is located, you guessed it right on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte. Known for high quality steaks, chops, delectable appetizers and a large selection of fine wines. Located in the heart of Crested Butte, park in the free parking lot on the West end of Elk Ave, and enjoy a stroll through downtown on your way to dinner. Elk Ave Prime is open Thursday through Monday, reservations are encouraged and can be made by visiting their website or calling 970-329-1221.
